Ayurveda therapy

The most important aspect of a Yoga/Meditation/Ayurveda Retreat is that you will be away from all the distractions of life. You will be in a peaceful and beautiful setting with other people who are on the quest for the same things as you. The food will be nutritious and delicious. The sights and scenery exotic. All you have to do is show up, we will take care of ALL local transportation arrangements as well as hotel, food and extra activities.

Yoga is an ancient Indian body of knowledge that dates back more than 5000 years ago. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit Word ‘yuj’ which means ‘to unite or integrate’. Yoga therefore is about the union of a person’s own consciousness and the universal consciousness. The Yogis formulated a way to achieve and maintain this balance through exercise, conscious breathing, and meditation - the three main Yoga structures.

Meditation is a practice by which there is constant observation of the mind. Through the practice of Meditation, you will achieve a greater sense of purpose and strength of will. It will also help you achieve a clearer mind, improve your concentration, and discover the wisdom and tranquility within you.

Morning: We leave the ‘Gateway of Kumaon’ for our host village which is situated 75 km up the hilly road. We travelusing all the common modes available for travelling i.e. local transport bus taxi etc and last 3 km on foot crossing over the mountain streams and listening spotting the exclusive birds and fauna.
Afternoon: Welcome session with local drinks and snacks, followed by exchange of pleasantries and introductions. Lunch and rest.
Evening: Visiting the organic farm knowing about the indigenous farming modes followed by Food Meditation 1

Day 2 -
Morning: Session of Meditation/karma Yoga/Zen sitting/Vipassna/daily Puja /learning Aarti. Breakfast in the community kitchen.
Visiting the ‘Tree God’ - This tree is situated in a deep forest and is more than 15 feet in diameter and the height has not yet been measured but one can safely say it is more than 40 meters as the top is not visible from the ground. The space around that tree is absolutely magical. It is so silent that one can listen to all the breathing happening in the woods. On the way back we will also visit the source of water which is supposed to be as ancient as the mountains. This is an experience which one cannot describe in words. This sure is a wish fulfillment tree – an experience of practically all those who have been here and we are trying our best not to turn this exclusive Oak tree into a ‘tourist attraction’.
Afternoon: Food Meditation 2. Exchange session with the house holders and helping them clean the dishes and dining space. Learning the local language.
Evening: Visiting the neighbors and learning exchanging the local customs and rituals. Dinner. Reflection and understanding of what was exchanged earlier in the evening.

Day 3 -
Morning: Early morning walk and bird watching on a 2 feet wide jungle trail. Local haat /bazaar which we will arrange specially for our visitors: A talk and exchange by the local farmer display and sale of all the commodities which are produced in the village, business opportunities can be explored here.
Afternoon: Early lunch and return to base Haldwani.
Evening: Explore the colorful town also known as the ‘Gateway of Kumaon’ before heading back to Delhi.
